3 Stories Fill In Between Prototype and Prototype 2

Here's the deal. This book consists of three stories that describe locations, fill in character background, and set up action for the Prototype 2 sequel to the Prototype video game. Dan Jolley is the writer of Prototype 2 and is also the writer of all three of these stories.
"The Anchor" features Alex Mercer, and is basically a mini-story confirming his belief that everything and everyone is evil, crooked, vicious - or all three. Everyone behaves badly every time, everywhere. Well drawn and the most focused of the three stories, it is way over the top on the disillusioned hero scale, but hey, that's who Mercer is.
"The Survivors" follows the escape attempts, (from NYZ), of three uninfected refugees. It sets out the red, yellow and green zones and the Blackwatch involvement. Good background.
"The Labyrinth" shows us Marine Sgt. James Heller, who I assume will be a major player in Prototype 2.
It's hard to review this as a standalone, since it is basically a very extended trailer for the new videogame. If you are really into Prototype this is a nice way to get a bit of a fix in a different medium. If not, well this effort is fine, with three strong characters, decent action, a bit of plot, and some depth - but not necessarily enough story to carry you through.
